Marathon metaphors are all about breaking through barriers, pushing beyond limits, conquering the wall, but occasionally a runner encounters an immovable force too great for even the strongest, best-trained athlete to overcome. Trying to train on the BMO Vancouver Marathon course two weeks before race day, that immovable object is the Vancouver Sun Run, a monstrous creature with over 110,000 legs measuring ten kilometres in length.
No worries, runners can still get some quality time on the marathon route without disturbing the Sun Run beast with the Here Comes the Sun run.
