Just Another Half 21k

You got this. Yes, really. It's just another half.

Just Another Half 21k map“It’s just another half.”

The little voice in our heads can be quite chatty during a marathon and I always look forward to hitting the halfway point and hearing that there’s just another half to go. Sure, it’s still a long way to the finish but it always feels good knowing there are more kilometres behind me than in front of me. The Just Another Half 21k route picks up where the first half of the BMO Vancouver Marathon leaves off.

Departing west on 7th Avenue from the Cambie Running Room, Just Another Half turns south at Fir and past the location of the old Broadway store. The main westward leg of the route follows 16th Avenue to the fringes of Pacific Spirit and briefly picks up the Vancouver Marathon course from Imperial to the Blanca hairpin before continuing on to the steep drop at the north end of Blanca. From Blanca, the route follows a short, steep trail down to Marine Drive and onto the marathon route just past the halfway point of the Vancouver Marathon course along Spanish Banks. From there, the route covers a good chunk of the Vancouver Marathon course through Kits to Burrard before hitting False Creek for the final leg back to Cambie.
