Kits Pool Loop 11.5k map

Kits Pool is a Vancouver landmark which opened next to Kits Beach in 1931. The spacious, outdoor, saltwater pool is a favourite with Vancouver swimmers in large part because its swimming lanes are 137 metres, or 450 feet long, making it Canada’s longest pool. Unfortunately for local swimmers, Kits Pool is only open for swimming from June to September, but we can run around it any time we want.

The original Kits Pool Loop from the Cambie Running Room is 11.5k, but if you are looking for a shorter route there, try Kits and Dogs, a 10-kilometre version which accesses False Creek via Charleson Park. Either way you choose to get there, grab your Speedo and come along for the ride.

Turn-by-Turn Directions
NORTH on Cambie and under the bridge to the False Creek Seawall via Spyglass — LEFT on the Seawall path — continue past Granville Island and follow the path LEFT and then RIGHT onto Creekside and continue onto the path under Burrard Bridge and onto the gravel path around Vanier Park, past the Maritime Museum to Kits Beach and Kits Pool — run around the pool (clockwise or counter-clockwise — take your pick) and return the way you came
