Squaw Valley’s website recently bragged, “Squaw Valley has just reached over 700 inches of total snow accumulation — something that has never happened in Squaw Valley’s recorded history.” That’s great for skiers, but what about competitors running the Western States Endurance Run which begins at Squaw Valley in just less than two months? Last year was a “snow year” requiring a modified route and well… the chart speaks for itself. Is it too early to panic?

Thanks to Bobby Knight for tweeting the link to the Snow Tracker and really messing with my head back in March.
This is a good thing for us Canucks! Just make sure to pack yer toque eh, and some brewskies, and some snowshoes too.
