The L-shaped route out to Queen Elizabeth Park from Broadway and Fir is a pretty uneventful, slightly uphill run along roads which double as major bike routes. Expect a few stops at the multitude of controlled intersections along the way to Queen E and if you’re running it at night, especially during the winter months, dress to be seen. The real reward of the route awaits after the climb from 33rd up to the Lions Club clock. At just over 150 metres or 500 feet above sea level, the top of the park is the highest point in Vancouver and offers views of Vancouver below and the North Shore mountains beyond.
