Queen E Tourist Trap 10k

The Tourist Trap is a 10k route from the Cambie Running Room to check out the view from the top of Queen Elizabeth Park.

We first did this route in 2016 to showcase the local running area to a new Cambie Running Room assistant manager. From the climb past Douglas Park and the old Shaughnessy Hospital site to check out the views from the top of Queen Elizabeth Park, the City of Vancouver’s highest point, to the plunging descent to False Creek and the Olympic Village, it seemed fitting to dub this gem the Tourist Trap. It offers easy access to shopping, Science World and half a dozen craft breweries, so the Tourist Trap really is a tourist trap. You could run it hard, but every once in a while it’s nice to slow it down and check out the views.
