Homecoming Dance 32k map
The New Homecoming Dance is a 32k run from the Cambie Running Room along Vancouver’s scenic west side beaches and up the UBC hill on NW Marine Drive to the University of British Columbia and back along rolling 37th Avenue. It’s a newer, longer version of the original Homecoming Dance 29k from our former home at the Broadway Running Room.

For those looking to run 19k, the turnaround point is Stonehenge, the semi-circular pergola at the Spanish Banks East concession stand. For 16k, turn around at the far end of Jericho Beach where the concrete wharf used to be (look for the plaque commemorating the wharf). Directions for all three are below:

WEST on 7th Ave — RIGHT at Laurel overpass and LEFT on path into Charleson Park — LEFT on False Creek Seawall path — follow path past Granville Island to Creekside Dr and continue onto path under Burrard Bridge — continue on path around Vanier Park and past Kits Beach to Point Grey Road — follow Point Grey Road and veer RIGHT onto gravel path at Jericho Beach — follow beach path to the far end of Spanish Banks Beach past the Anchor follow the path next to NW Marine Drive up the hill to UBC — RIGHT on NW Marine Drive at Chancellor Blvd — LEFT at 16th Ave — RIGHT on Wallace St — LEFT on 37th Ave — LEFT on Ontario St — LEFT on 7th Ave back to Cambie

WEST on 7th Ave — RIGHT at Laurel overpass and LEFT on path into Charleson Park — LEFT on False Creek Seawall path — follow path past Granville Island to Creekside Dr and continue onto path under Burrard Bridge — continue on path around Vanier Park and past Kits Beach to Point Grey Road — follow Point Grey Road and veer RIGHT onto gravel path at Jericho Beach — follow beach path to the semi-circular pergola next to the concession at Spanish Banks East Beach — turn around and return the way you came

WEST on 7th Ave — RIGHT at Laurel overpass and LEFT on path into Charleson Park — LEFT on False Creek Seawall path — follow path past Granville Island to Creekside Dr and continue onto path under Burrard Bridge — continue on path around Vanier Park and past Kits Beach to Point Grey Road — follow Point Grey Road and veer RIGHT onto gravel path at Jericho Beach — follow beach path to the information plaque marking former location of the Jericho Wharf at the far end of Jericho Beach — loop around the small island of grass and return the way you came
